Majority of the brokers you see everywhere are Market Makers. But what it does really mean?

Making market tells us that no trades executed at your platform are really going into the market.  In this case, Broker is Making Market by exchanging contracts between the clients or just do nothing. It also tells us that in practice, broker takes all of our loosing trades into his pocket if things go bad. MM also isn’t too happy if you are constantly doing the right trades as he has to pay you straight from his pocket. So Market Maker does not have any potential interest in you winning the trades, if he is earning much more from your loosing trades.

You will not experience it al the time, but some of the market makers will hold your position on, will not let you sell or buy in exact moment, only make you wait few seconds till ‘they are ready’ to take your position.

Choosing the right forex broker might skip that unpleasant experiences. Big Brokers will not bother to try any tricks on you until you are winning big money. So please keep that in mind – at the beginning of your forex journey, it is no big difference whenever you open ECN or MM account, just keep low proflie and see where it gets you.
